Thanks for joining us for Sunday’s Marlins (10-29) vs. Mets (19-20) game thread. There is no game, unfortunately: Mother Nature had other plans on Mother’s Day. Instead, these teams will play a single-admission doubleheader on Monday, Aug. 5 with the first game beginning at 4:10 p.m.

The Fish Picks leaderboard continues to update regularly. With the postponement and upcoming off day, here is the top of the May standings entering Tuesday:

The weekend wasn’t a total waste for scheduled starter Caleb Smith, who spent Friday at the MLB Network studios in New Jersey to reflect on his excellent season thus far. Watch clips of that visit here and here.

In other news, Christian Cevallos has your weekly Marlins roundup. Andre Fernandez of The Athletic presents an inspiring Mother’s Day feature about Miguel Rojas and his brave and talented mom, Norma Naidenoff (subscription required).

The Marlins finished their road trip at 1-5 (10-29 overall with a minus-91 run differential). Next up is a two-game series hosting the AL East-leading Tampa Bay Rays. That’s when KKKKKKKaleb will be toeing the rubber again (7:10 p.m. first pitch).
