CJ Abrams is a draft-eligible shortstop/middle infielder from Alpharetta, Georgia and plays his high school ball in Blessed Trinity Catholic HS. He is one of the top and most exciting prospect to watch in the 2019 MLB Draft. Abrams participated in the Perfect Game All-American Game and Under Armour All-American Game, and won a gold model with the U.S.A. National Team. The University of Alabama commit played summer ball with DRB Elite.

At 6’2” 182 pounds, Abrams is a long, athletic prospect with lots of room to grow with his frame. The first thing that jumps out at you with him is his speed—Abrams is arguably the fastest prospect in the 2019 MLB Draft. He has been clocked running an easy 6.29 60 yard dash at Perfect Game.

Abrams is a left-handed batter that hits with a line drive approach. Drives the ball well to all fields but mostly hits balls up the middle. On defense, Abrams is a very smooth defensive shortstop with soft hands. His infield velocity was clocked at 91 mph across in the infield. Great athlete.

CJ Abrams is going to be a first-round pick and will mostly likely be a Top 10 pick. Conveniently, the Marlins are selecting in the No. 4 spot, looking to add more speed and another middle infielder to their farm system.

Abrams should be very high on the their draft board. He has the tools to be a very good professional player and would instantly rank among Miami’s top prospects.
