Thanks for joining us for Friday’s Marlins (8-17) vs. Phillies (13-12) game thread.

Throughout the 2019 season, Fish Stripes is your home for daily Fish Picks prop bets. I posted the full introduction toward the end of Spring Training. The monthly points leader for March/April, May, June, etc. wins Fish Stripes merchandise prizes. (Do you know of any South Florida businesses who might want to sponsor additional Fish Picks prizes? Details here.)

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Marlins Lineup

  1. LF Curtis Granderson
  2. 1B Martín Prado
  3. RF Brian Anderson
  4. 2B Starlin Castro
  5. C Jorge Alfaro
  6. SS Miguel Rojas
  7. 3B Jon Berti
  8. CF Lewis Brinson
  9. P José Ureña (5.74 ERA, 1.69 WHIP, 17.1 K% in 26.2 IP)

Notes: Notable that Neil Walker is absent from the lineup; he’s appeared in each of the first 25 Marlins games...Jarlin García is back from paternity leave, which bumps José Quijada back down to Triple-A New Orleans...Ureña has surrendered 12 home runs in just 63 23 career innings against the Phillies, and most of those lineups were less talented than the one he’ll face this time.

Marlins Communications

Phillies Lineup

  1. CF Andrew McCutchen
  2. C J.T. Realmuto
  3. RF Bryce Harper
  4. 1B Rhys Hoskins
  5. LF Nick Williams
  6. 3B Maikel Franco
  7. 2B César Hernández
  8. SS Sean Rodriguez
  9. P Jerad Eickhoff (3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 33.3 K% in 10.0 IP)

Notes: Eickhoff has moved into the Phillies rotation to replace the struggling Nick Pivetta (a popular breakout candidate for 2019). He’ll be under pressure to provide some length coming off Thursday’s extra-inning contest.

How to watch/listen/follow
