Marlins vs. Reds: Start time, how to watch, game thread and Fish Picks—April 10, 2019

Game preview, lineups, news and props for Marlins vs. Reds in Cincinnati.

MLB: Colorado Rockies at Miami Marlins Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Marlins (3-8) vs. Reds (2-8) game thread.

Throughout the 2019 season, Fish Stripes is your home for daily Fish Picks prop bets. I posted the full introduction toward the end of Spring Training. The monthly points leader for March/April, May, June, etc. wins Fish Stripes merchandise prizes. (Do you know of any South Florida businesses who might want to sponsor additional Fish Picks prizes? Details here.)

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Marlins Lineup

  1. LF Curtis Granderson
  2. SS Miguel Rojas
  3. 1B Neil Walker
  4. 2B Starlin Castro
  5. C Jorge Alfaro
  6. CF Lewis Brinson
  7. 3B Martín Prado
  8. RF Peter O’Brien
  9. P Trevor Richards

Notes: After being awful on the road last year, the Fish have opened 2019 by continuing to underachieve away from Marlins Park...This will be Miggy Ro’s first time all season starting against a right-handed pitcher, and Brian Anderson’s first game off. BA is battling through arguably the worst slump of his major league career (.143/.217/.167, 12 wRC+).

Reds Lineup

  1. RF Jesse Winker
  2. 1B Joey Votto
  3. LF Matt Kemp
  4. 3B Eugenio Suárez
  5. CF Scott Schebler
  6. 2B Derek Dietrich
  7. C Tucker Barnhart
  8. SS Jose Iglesias
  9. P Tyler Mahle

Notes: Cincinnati is still short-handed while Yasiel Puig serves the final game of his suspension...Their bullpen is extremely well-rested following Monday’s off day and Tuesday’s Luis Castillo masterpiece. Uh, speaking of Castillo:

How to watch/listen/follow
