Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Marlins (2-2) vs. Mets (2-1) game thread.

Throughout the 2019 season, Fish Stripes is your home for daily Fish Picks prop bets. I posted the full introduction toward the end of Spring Training. The monthly points leader for March/April, May, June, etc. wins Fish Stripes merchandise prizes.

The Fish Picks leaderboard will update daily to let you know where you stand.

Mets Lineup

  1. SS Amed Rosario
  2. 1B Pete Alonso
  3. 2B Robinson Cano
  4. 3B J.D. Davis
  5. RF Michael Conforto
  6. C Wilson Ramos
  7. LF Jeff McNeil
  8. CF Juan Lagares
  9. P Steven Matz

Notes: Alonso looked as good as advertised in his first major league action against the Nats (.500/.571/.750 in 14 PA)...You may recall that Rosario and Conforto were mentioned in J.T. Realmuto trade talks last winter. They are both still with the Mets and settling into everyday roles.

Marlins Lineup

  1. SS Miguel Rojas
  2. LF Rosell Herrera
  3. 3B Brian Anderson
  4. 2B Starlin Castro
  5. CF Lewis Brinson
  6. 1B Martín Prado
  7. C Jorge Alfaro
  8. RF Peter O’Brien
  9. P Caleb Smith

Notes: Marshall Thomas gets you up to speed on the Marlins’ split of the opening series.

Despite a lack of results, Brinson scorched the ball against Rockies pitching. Nice to see him not batting eighth in the lineup!

How to watch/listen/follow

The game gets underway at 7:10 p.m. ET. Watch on FOX Sports Florida and via MLB.TV or listen on 940 WINZ.

Monday’s credentialed Fish Stripes writer is Ian Smith (@FlaSmitty).
