Our Noticias: Marlins making moves

The Fish add two bats with more on the way. Plus, Marlins Park fences make a move of their own.

Wow, what a week! Lots of big Marlins news, and we’ve covered it all for you here at Fish Stripes.

First off, the Marlins acquired a couple legit bats in Jonathan Villar and Jesus Aguilar.

Derek Jeter reacted thusly. To make room on the 40-man roster, the team designated J.T. Riddle and Tayron Guerrero for assignment. Craig Mish doesn’t think the Marlins are done either.

The Herald’s Jordan McPherson laid out the likely Marlins’ 2020 defense. MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro laid out some other possible targets, such as former Ray and Diamondback outfielder Steven Souza, and former Pirate catcher Francisco Cervelli.

More big news...

The fences are coming in next season. The bats are happy, but the pitchers must be suffering somewhere with the announcement.

We also took a look at the Dee Gordon trade, two years later. And we keep you updated on what the players are up to this winter in Offseason Fish. Most notably, a few of the guys are tearing it up on the same team down south.
