Last night’s game:

Trevor Richards didn’t have it last night, giving up six earned runs in 1.1 IP. J.T. Realmuto launched two home runs, but it was too little, too late for the Fish.

Miguel Rojas gave us another reason to love him at least.

Mattingly was left to state the obvious after the game.

Perhaps the skipper jinxed his starting pitcher by speaking on the improvement of Richards and Pablo Lopez prior to the contest.

Roster-move mania:

The team called up South Florida natives Peter O’Brien and Tyler Kinley, among a flurry of other moves.

Martin Prado won the prestigious Roberto Clemente award for his contributions on and off the field. And that hardware must have been heavy, because he was promptly declared out for the year with an abdominal strain. He explained the decision to the media.

Up next:

The Phillies series concludes tonight at 7:10 p.m. Sandy Alcantara (1-0, 1.80) returns to take on Nick Pivetta (7-10).
