Last night’s game:
Errors cost the Marlins in their 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks, but ultimately, this sums it up:
Certainly had their opportunities, but a few too many unforced mistakes. Marlins take the loss, 5-3.

There were a couple bright spots, however, as Elieser Hernandez struck out eight in just four innings of work and Brian Anderson kept streaking.
Roster shuffle:
Dan Straily’s suspension and Caleb Smith’s injury sparked a rotation shuffle, and a reinforcement is on the way:
RHP Pablo López has a 1.44 ERA and 66 K in 62.1 IP this season between Double-A and Triple-A. He will become the 10th different Marlins starting pitcher in 2018, and the youngest of those 10.

Who’s hot:
Derek Dietrich is a better hitter, but is he trade bait?

Our sister site, MLB Daily Dish, wonders who else might go. Another of our sisters, Beyond the Box Score, declares recent reliever Adam Conley a stud. And a baby Fish made MLB’s prospect team of the week. Pretty soon he’ll have his own section in this piece:
#Marlins No. 20 prospect Jordan Yamamoto (@jyamaz21) lowers his ERA to 1.30 in his sixth start with @GoHammerheads. GAMEDAY: https://t.co/Gm6ZhT3qdh pic.twitter.com/XVk0Wl6liV
