Originally unveiled in February, the Marlins 25th anniversary logo was a critical success. On Thursday, the team announced everything you’ll need to know about the weekend celebrating that milestone from June 8-10 against the visiting Padres.
Marlins Park attendance has sagged to new lows during the first quarter of the 2018 regular season. Despite organizing the 25th Anniversary Weekend around an unsexy opponent, this ought to peak the interest of many dormant/disgruntled Fish fans.
Among the major selling points:
- Vista Level seats are available for all three games for just $4 each. That’s paying homage to the adult general admission prices from Opening Day 1993.
- Former players Charlie Hough, Charles Johnson, Liván Hernández, Luis Castillo and Edgar Rentería will be in the building. No word on Jarrod Saltalamacchia (yet). The full list of 25 returning alumni—players, coaches and managers—is coming at a later date.

- The Saturday (teal rally towel) and Sunday (anniversary logo pin) games each include giveaways for all fans in attendance.
- Inside the stadium, the Marlins will set up a “historical artifact display.” It’s unclear whether Jim Leyland’s used chewing tobacco or Jeffrey Loria’s tax returns were preserved for this purpose. But seriously, expect the exhibit to feature many items related to recently deceased franchise owner H. Wayne Huizenga.
