In Thursday’s Fish Stripes roundtable, the majority of our writers selected Brian Anderson as the Marlins major leaguer they’d be most comfortable locking up long term.
On a related note, what exactly is he?
BA began and finished the 2018 season at third base as Martín Prado struggled with injuries. However, the majority of the rookie’s playing time came in right field where he had zero prior professional experience. Despite some awkwardness when tracking balls near the outfield fence, he acclimated himself well overall—Anderson racked up 4 Defensive Runs Saved in his 91 games (765 1⁄3 innings) in right compared to -2 Defensive Runs Saved in his 71 games (592 2⁄3 innings) at the hot corner.
