BA began and finished the 2018 season at third base as Martín Prado struggled with injuries. However, the majority of the rookie’s playing time came in right field where he had zero prior professional experience. Despite some awkwardness when tracking balls near the outfield fence, he acclimated himself well overall—Anderson racked up 4 Defensive Runs Saved in his 91 games (765 13 innings) in right compared to -2 Defensive Runs Saved in his 71 games (592 23 innings) at the hot corner.
