Miami Marlins merchandise featuring outgoing team logo available online at big discounts

With the logo changing for the 2019 season, now’s the time to get a bargain on items at the MiLB Store.

This logo will soon be obsolete, and prices for the gear have been updated to reflect that.

The Marlins are getting a new logo!

Not that there was anything so bad about the current design—it’s just that new ownership continues to rebuild the franchise in their own image, disassociating with Jeffrey Loria wherever possible. Derek Jeter wants to show the fanbase a franchise that looks and operates differently (and eventually, one that actually wins consistently).

Fish Stripes has confirmed that the 2019 logo received MLB approval and obtained a high-resolution image of it. Indeed, the Marlins are making a big change in terms of both font and color scheme. Sorry, you don’t get to see it until the team introduces it on Nov. 1 (h/t Tony Capobianco, Five Reasons Sports Network).

Recognizing that the old merchandise will soon be obsolete, retailers are trying to unload it. The official online store of the Jupiter Hammerheads, for example, has launched a clearance sale that includes dozens of Marlins items. Most stuff is 50 percent off.
