On Monday afternoon, Major League Baseball announced the starting lineups for Tuesday night’s All-Star Game. After he competes to defend his Home Run Derby title tonight, Giancarlo Stanton will be the starting Designated Hitter for the National League team. He is batting .277/.360/.572 at the halfway point of the 2017 campaign. With his 26 Home Runs, he is tied for the National League lead with Joey Votto and three behind the league leader, Aaron Judge. Here is a full schedule of the ASG festivities.
Along with Marcell Ozuna, Stanton will represent the Marlins in Florida’s first MLB All-Star Game. This is also the first time in franchise history that two Marlins will be in the starting lineup together. If for some reason you disagree with Giancarlo Stanton’s power and hitting prowess, first off you’re wrong and secondly here is a video of him hitting a tire with a hammer.
Stanton taking out frustration on this tire. No wonder he hits balls 500 feet. Get strong, hit bombs. pic.twitter.com/tyWWBwOBbL

See, I told you that you were wrong.
