Jumbo Shrimp hosting “You Might Be the Father’s Day”

Well, this is an interesting promotion.

On Thursday, June 15 for their game against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Miami’s Double-A affiliate, is hosting “You Might Be the Father’s Day.”

For the promotion, the Jumbo Shrimp will be giving away pregnancy tests to all fans so they’ll “know if they need to return for Sunday’s Father’s Day Game.”

That’s right, the Jumbo Shrimp are putting a whole new spin on Father’s Day Weekend giveaways.

I would guess that most people will take this as a joke, but it could be a really special moment for the one couple that gets their big news from an official Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp pregnancy test.

It could be perfect timing for big fans of the Jumbo Shrimp who also attend Wednesday’s “Date Night” game at Bragan Field.

I guess you could call this the grandaddy of all giveaways.
