The Marlins did a cool thing for Mother’s Day

The Marlins went the extra mile in honoring Mother’s Day during yesterday’s 3-1 win over the Atlanta Braves.

The word “MOM” decorated in the dirt behind the pitching rubber is getting a lot of attention.

The field artistry may have sparked Miami’s win yesterday — its first victory since May 7. Tyler Moore’s late three-run home run snapped the Marlins’ five-losing streak.

Maybe the grounds crew should consider leaving it there for the rest of the season, or at least until its luck runs out.
