Marlins shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, who has been on the disabled list with an oblique strain, will likely be activated this weekend, according to Tim Healey of The Sun Sentinel.
Adeiny Hechavarria will join the Marlins in San Diego if his rehab goes well tonight/tomorrow. Hope is he'll be activated over the weekend.

Before going down, Hechavarria wasn’t having much success at the plate, hitting .200/.238/.200 with an RBI over five games. Still, it would likely be ideal to get him back in the lineup as soon as possible.
J.T. Riddle has handled filling in about as well as you would expect him to, and his ninth inning home run helped the Marlins secure a win against the Mets on Sunday. However, he will likely be the one optioned in the corresponding roster move.
The Marlins seem adamant about keeping a short bench, and Riddle will likely benefit from regular starting time in Double-A. If he continues to produce, he could be a candidate to receive more playing time with the Marlins in the distant future.
