After putting up some impressive numbers in the World Baseball Classic, Edinson Volquez showed some signs of rust in his return to Grapefruit league play, but insists that his preparations for the upcoming season are nearly complete.

Six players were sent from big league camp to the minor leagues yesterday, including Brian Anderson and Moises Sierra despite impressive showings over the past few weeks.

If last season didn’t capture the country’s attention, Christian Yelich has put his name out there for the entire world to see as he was one of the players of the tournament for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and he now returns to the Marlins with a winning mentality.

Adam Conley has failed to build on an impressive 2016 so far in Spring Training, and while he has more or less already earned a spot in the rotation due to his performances last year, some in the organization are worried with what they are seeing from the lefty.

Miami lost a close game to the Cardinals yesterday, and a problem that has plagued the team reared its ugly head once again.
