Christian Yelich put on an absolute show at the 2017 WBC and was a key cog in helping The United States win their first ever championship at the WBC. He truly transformed himself into a forced to be reckoned with and the Marlins will hope that he can continue this into the regular season.

Christian Yelich has impressed in his time representing the United States at the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Yesterday, the Marlins beat the Mets on the backs of a two home run game by Tyler Moore which includes the go ahead run in the eighth inning.

The Marlins have pondered the idea of batting J.T. Realmuto second until Martin Prado returns from the injury he sustained in the WBC.

The United States defeated Team Puerto Rico last night -0 to claim their first ever WBC Championship.

Team Puerto Rico’s starter, Seth Lugo struggled heavily in his championship start against the United States which played into their loss.

Major League Baseball was very impressed with how well the WBC did this year and they are looking forward to watching it grow and expand as the years go on.

There are many negative feelings towards the WBC every time it is held, however Cubs skipper Joe Maddon said he sees growth in Javy Baez thanks to the tournament.

The New York Yankees are considering Diamondbacks SS Nick Ahmed as a replacement until Didi Gregorius returns from his injury.
