Giancarlo Stanton obliterated a baseball

Giancarlo Stanton did things to a baseball on Saturday night that should not be done. Here’s the absolute laser at Petco Park.

I mean, just look at this. He may not be human.

Apparently, Stanton was also very close to breaking the Statcast record for exit velocity.

You also have to feel bad for Ervin Santana, who was on the mound and delivered the pitch that Stanton absolutely destroyed. Here it is again, in gif form.

Here’s to hoping we see more of these from Stanton in a Marlins uniform in 2017.
