We already knew Ichiro is well-respected in major league clubhouses, and rightfully so. He reportedly collided with outfielder Brandon Barnes and as a result was plagued by a knee and back injury, according to Tim Healey of The Sun-Sentinel.
It was the first time Ichiro was ever in the trainer’s room to receive treatment, according to Healey, but things didn’t end there. Some Marlins posted a sign on Barnes’ locker, making it clear they take hurting Ichiro very seriously:
