2016 World Baseball Classic Qualifier - Game 6: Great Britain v. Israel

Marlins News:

The Marlins are hosting a job fair tomorrow (January 11th) at Marlins Park from 10:00AM-7:00PM. Seasonal and part-time positions need filling for the regular season and the All-Star game festivities between July 7th-11th.

Tickets are now on sale for the World Baseball Classic games that are going to be played at Marlins Park March 9th-13th. Marlins Park will play host to the “Pool C” group, a strong group which includes the Dominican Republic, Canada, Columbia, and the United States.

Joe Frisaro believes the Marlins would benefit from signing 14 year veteran and noted Fish killer Chase Utley.

Amongst the nuggets in Barry Jackson’s latest column for the Miami Herald was that, despite speaking to each other’s camps, the Marlins are not in on Mike Napoli.

Around the League:

The Tampa Bay Rays and free agent outfielder Colby Rasmus have agreed on a one year deal.

The Washington Nationals’ Max Scherzer will miss the World Baseball Classic due to a finger injury on his pitching hand.

Jose Bautista remains unsigned as speculation grows that he may ultimately end up signing on a one year deal somewhere.

Former Marlin Jeff Francoeur loves playing in the NL East and could be looking at a third reunion with the Atlanta Braves.
