Marlins vs. Dodgers: Game 142 Thread

Marlins looking to bounce back with series win versus Dodgers.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Miami has lost 11 of its last 14 games and fallen to 5.5 games back in the wild card race. The Marlins have picked up wins in two of its last three as they attempt to turn things around and make one final postseason push. A win today would give Miami its first series victory since sweeping Pittsburgh on August 21.

Jose Urena (3-6) had one appearance versus the Dodgers out of the bullpen on April 27. He pitched 1.2 perfect innings and two strikeouts. Urena picked up the loss his last time out versus the Phillies. He went five innings, but gave up four runs on seven hits in the 4-3 Marlins loss on September 6.

Kenta Maeda (14-8) has been brilliant this season with a 1.08 WHIP and 156 strikeouts. He's picked up the win in seven of his last 10 starts and hasn't allowed more than three runs since July 17. That July 17 game versus Arizona was one of only two starts in which he failed reach the fifth inning.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
