Marlins vs. White Sox: Game 117 Thread

Depleted Marlins lineup will look to rebound and end losing streak versus White Sox.

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

It's been a devastating 24 hours for the Marlins, as Giancarlo Stanton and Adam Conley have been joined the disabled list. Miami has also lost three consecutive games and four of its last five to fall behind in the wild card race. Today's game is huge for momentum as the Marlins continue to battle with the St. Louis Cardinals for that final wild card spot.

It won't be easy with Chris Sale on the mound for Chicago. Sale (14-5) hasn't been himself for the past month or so after his incredible run to begin this season. His last win came on July 2 versus the Astros, but he needed the backing of his teams offense to secure the win for him.

Miami will have Tom Koehler out for today's game. Koehler (9-8) has been fantastic lately posting three wins in his last four starts and allowing just one earned runs in 27 innings during the stretch. He pitched a gem his last time out in San Francisco going seven innings and allowing just two hits.

The Marlins will need him to be dominant again with a depleted lineup going up against the White Sox ace.
