All-Star festivities began Sunday with the Futures Game and continue Monday night with the annual Home Run Derby. For the first time since 2014, Giancarlo Stanton will be involved.
Stanton accepted an invitation to participate in the Derby and will compete against Mariners slugger Robinson Cano in the first round.
The Derby bracket looks like this:

Despite struggling for the first two months of the season, Stanton ended the first half with 20 home runs and 50 RBIs. He continues to prove to be one of the game’s best young power hitters after signing a 13-year, $325 million deal to remain with the Marlins.
Prediction
It’s good to see Mark Trumbo as the top overall seed in the contest, since he currently leads all of baseball in home runs with 28. Todd Frazier and Wil Myers are capable of winning the contest, but the lower seeds could prove to be the most successful.
Stanton, Carlos Gonzalez and Corey Seager all have a notable amount of power, but Adam Duvall is my pick to win the Derby.
