Marlins vs. Twins: Game 60 Thread

The Marlins attempt to salvage the series against the Twins

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

As it has been previously discussed the Marlins have a tendency to lose winnable games. Last night epitomized that as the Marlins after being down four runs failed to cap off the comeback against the lowly Twins. Don Mattingly is sending Tom Koehler to the mound hoping to get out of dodge with one win in this series before the Marlins head to Arizona. Ervin Santana who has been terrible as of late going 0-3 over his last three starts is pitching for the Twins.

Team Starter ERA FIP ZIPs Projected ERA
MIA Tom Koehler 4.50 4.44 4.26
MIN Ervin Santana 4.50 4.55 4.69

Today's Lineups

MIAMI MARLINS MINNESOTA TWINS

Notes:

- With his hit in the second inning Giancarlo Stanton broke out of his 1-19 slump.

- Fun fact the Marlins have led all NL teams with sixty six hits from DH spot.

-The Twins should play with bumped up emotion as former manger Ron Gardenhire will be in own for retiring of David Ortiz's Twin jersey.

Bold Prediction: Marlins salvage the series and win 5-3 over the Twins.
