Marlins vs. Mets: Game 55 Thread

Game one in the best of three at Marlins Park.

If the Fish can somehow pull this one off, I really like the chances for a sweep.

Pitching Matchup

Team Starter ERA FIP ZIPS Projected ERA
NYM Noah Syndergaard 1.84 1.67 2.88
MIA Tom Koehler 4.50 4.46 4.27

Syndergaard is living up to his Thor moniker, wielding mighty Mjolnir and smashing opposing batters to pieces.

Koehler walks a bunch of people, but the Mets aren't a particularly patient bunch, so our hope is that a lot of mediocre contact is produced inbetween those free passes.

Today's Lineups

NEW YORK METS MIAMI MARLINS
Curtis Granderson - RF Derek Dietrich - 2B
Asdrubal Cabrera - SS Martin Prado - 3B
Yoenis Cespedes - CF Christian Yelich - LF

Jeff Mathis in at catcher and batting eighth for J.T. Realmuto who had a longer than usual night yesterday.

Notes

- Kyle Barraclough and Nick Wittgren are likely to be unavailable out of the pen today given their work in last night's victory over the Pirates in extras.

Bold Prediction: Marlins eke out a 2-1 victory.
