Throughout the 2016 regular season, I'm tracking each player involved in each Marlins game. Using the WPA metric (Wins Probability Added), we can order the players from the most positive impact all the way down to most negative. The top three are our "Heroes," and the bottom three rank as our "Zeroes."

Heroes

Marcell Ozuna (MIA) +39.3%

Ozuna batted third out of center field for the Marlins. He hit a leadoff single in the second (+3.8%), a two-out single in the fourth (+1.5%), a three-run homer (+34.4%) in the sixth, and a fly out to center field in the eighth (-0.3%).

Tom Koehler (MIA) +32.9%

Koehler earned the victory with a quality start, tossing six shutout innings and allowing only two hits while striking out six. His BB/9, however went over five for the season, as he allowed a total of six walks (five unintentional). Koehler got 48-of-92 pitches over the plate and earned a GameScore of 68, running his record to 6-6 for the season and his ERA down 33 points to 3.92, the second best mark amongst the Marlins' starting rotation.

Tyler Anderson (COL) +22.8%

Anderson started and lost for the Rockies, missing a quality start by just a third of an inning. He went 5.2 frames in total, giving up four hits and a walk for two earned runs. He is now 0-1 for the season with a 2.25 ERA, and earned a GameScore of 56 by getting 61-of-102 pitches into the strikezone.
