Marlins vs. Phillies: Game 29 Thread

Marlins look to win their third straight series.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Marlins have won their last four while the Philadelphia Phillies have lost their last three, yet both teams have been pleasant surprises so far with winning records. Tonight should be another feisty contest between two rivals vying for what may right now be the toughest division in baseball.

Pitching Matchup

Team Starter ERA FIP ZiPS Proj. ERA
PHI Jeremy Hellickson 4.88 4.93 4.73
MIA Tom Koehler 7.25 5.49 4.34

Tom Koehler and his 7.25 ERA will try to rebound after a disastrous 2 1/3 innings during which he gave up eight runs on eight hits against the Milwaukee Brewers. Meanwhile, Jeremy Hellickson boats a better ERA at 4.88, but he too has been largely inconsistent. In two previous starts at Marlins Park, he has combined for a 2.61 ERA but overall he has not beaten the Marlins in four starts.
