Marlins face Braves for Game 2 at Turner Field

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Braves are tied with the Minnesota Twins for the worst record in the Majors. The Braves have won just 13 games, but they are 4-0 against a Marlins team only 3.5 games behind the division-leading New York Mets. Perhaps Wei-Yin Chen can snap the Fish out of this strange funk they always seem to find themselves in when they face the Braves.

The Braves will start Aaron Blair, who struggled against the Pittsburgh Pirates in his last outing, giving up nine runs on nine hits with only one strikeout. Chen, however, ever since striking out twelve against the Milwaukee Brewers, has also struggled, most recently surrendering five runs on nine hits against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Team Starter ERA FIP ZIPS Projected ERA
ATL Aaron Blair 7.59 4.63 4.25
MIA Wei-Yin Chen 4.61 4.00 3.47
