Throughout the 2016 season, I'm tracking the results of each game and each player to appear by using the Wins Probability Added (WPA) metric. The top three players are the "Heroes," and the bottom three are the "Zeroes."

Heroes

Logan Morrison (TB) +38.1%

Morrison batted sixth and played first base in the field for Tampa Bay, and was the only Ray to collect multiple base hits on the night. He hit a one-out RBI single in the second to open the scoring (+9.6%), hit an infield single with one out in the fourth (+3.2%), and added a one-out, two-run jack in the sixth (+31.8%). He struck out with a man on first to end the eighth (-6.5%).

AJ Ramos (MIA) +18.2%

Ramos came on to pitch the ninth, and earned his 15th save of the season. He induced a Brad Miller groundout (+8.2%), then walked Taylor Motter (-9.3%). Luckily, he came back to get Corey Dickerson to ground into a fielders' choice (+10.4%) for the second out of the inning, and struck out Brandon Guyer (+9.0%) to end the game.

Cole Gillespie (MIA) +16.7%

Gillespie started in left field and batted eighth for the Marlins, and was one of six Marlins to get more than one hit in the game. He struck out with two on to end the second (-4.4%), then hit a one-out double to left field in the fourth (+3.2%). After flying out to right in the sixth (-1.1%), he scored JT Realmuto with a one-out RBI single in the eighth (+21.8%) to give the Marlins a 4-3 lead. He flew out to right field with two runners on to end the Marlins' ninth (-2.8%).

* - evermoresg said, "if you can figure it out." Just to let you know, now that I am stationed back in the states and working somewhat normal hours, I watch pretty much every pitch. LoMo put one in the seats - pretty deep I'd say, so I'll give that one to you.

Tomorrow, the Citrus Series comes to a close with another matinee, so get your picks in early for the early afternoon first pitch. In the meantime, keep a browser bookmarked here at Fish Stripes, and GO FISH!
