The Marlins recalled Dustin McGowan ahead Wednesday's contest against the Brewers. McGowan was listed on Miami's lineup card.
It is likely Craig Breslow was designated for assignment in the corresponding roster move, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.
Looks like #Marlins have designated Breslow and selected McGowan

Breslow pitched to a 4.50 ERA and 3.88 FIP over 24.0 innings with the Marlins. He was used in several different roles, since he is not known for being a lefty specialist.
McGowan, 34, was sent to Triple-A at the end of April. He pitched to a 3.38 ERA and 3.47 FIP over 5.1 innings with the Marlins to open the season.
Since Miami's bullpen has been called upon frequently early in 2016, McGowan will likely, like Breslow, be asked to pitch in several situations.
McGowan didn't allow a run and pitched to a 4.22 FIP over 7.1 minor league innings this season.
