The Miami Marlins meet the Milwaukee Brewers for the second straight night with a chance to win the series. After gouging our eyeballs out last night watching J.T. Realmuto lose a home run due to a horrific base-running error, will any of us be able to even watch the game?
Pitching Matchup
Team | Starter | ERA | FIP | ZIPS Projected ERA |
MIL | Zack Davies | 6.98 | 4.93 | 4.12 |
MIA | Adam Conley | 3.06 | 2.48 | 2.80 |
Adam Conley has been a revelation for the Marlins this season, pitching excellently across his six starts. He toes the rubber against Zach Davies, who has been anything but a revelation for the Brewers. Davies was recalled from the AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox on April 19th, but has been abused while on the mound. He hopes to right the ship after a promising outing against the Los Angeles Angels in which he allowed two earned runs across six innings.
Notes
- Adam Conley faces the Brewers for the second time this season. Last time, he was pulled at 116 pitches after throwing 7 2/3 innings of no-hit ball. Can he produce another dazzling performance?
- Who was on the mound for the Brewers during Conley's no-hit bid? Zach Davies, who gave up four earned runs over five innings of work. He surrendered a three run home run to Justin Bour in the first inning.
- The Marlins all-time record against the Brewers is even, at 66-66. SO THIS ONE REALLY MATTERS.
Bold Prediction: J.T. Realmuto hits a homer, but no one forgets about last night. Marlins win 6-1.
