Marlins Morning News: The Marlins are not done making moves

Marlins News

The Marlins are not quite done making moves just yet as MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro takes a look at potential targets in his latest inbox.

Amid a very busy season, Ichiro Suzuki’s 3000 hit chase was one of the Marlins’ most memorable moments.

The Fish have not forgotten the death of Jose Fernandez, but skipper Don Mattingly believes the club will be able to move on and compete when spring training rolls around.

Around the League

Despite reports that the Yankees and White Sox have expanded talks to include David Robertson in any deal with Jose Quintana, a Robertson reunion remains unlikely.

The Mariners and the Rays have discussed a deal that would send Drew Smyly to Seattle.

As the offseason drags on slugger Jose Bautista remains without a home for next season and has stated he would be open to a 1-year deal with the Blue Jays.

The Red Sox may be interested in adding Trevor Plouffe to their roster for next season.

The next arm to come off the board may be Joe Blanton and a return to the Dodgers seems to remain a possibility.
