NL West Notes: Finalization

Here's what's happening around the National League West.

With three months to go before pitchers and catchers report, front offices all over baseball have been working tirelessly to prepare their 40-man rosters and coaching staffs. It's probably safe to suggest that no team has had to do more of this over the last few weeks than the Arizona Diamondbacks, a team that experienced a large overhaul in the coaching department. Fortunately, our friends at AZ Snake Pit have laid it all out for us, and mind you, some of the names will be familiar.

Here's what else is happening around the National League West:

The Dodgers announced three new additions to their 40-man roster.

San Diego's Brett Wallace is headed to free agency.

Three Rockies ended up earning MVP votes, a reassuring sign for a team in flux.

Maybe going for a top-rate closer doesn't make sense for the Giants right now.

Two Diamondbacks garnered MVP votes, though these announcements were not surprises.

Josh Reddick is once again on the move.

Are the Padres seriously changing the mentality of other teams? One contributor has the answer.

With deadlines approaching, there's a sense of urgency in San Francisco, as the Rule 5 Draft looms.
