MLB Scores: Marlins 3, Nationals 13

Miami loses in Washington.

In the last game of the series, the Nationals beat  the Marlins Sunday afternoon. Stephen Strasburg had a great outing while Justin Nicolino and the Marlins' bullpen struggled in the 3-13 loss. Nicolino pitched for 5.2 innings, giving up seven earned runs.

Washington got on the board in the first inning after Jayson Werth drove in two runs with a triple. The next batter, Ian Desmond, hit an sacrifice fly allowing Werth to score.

Miami scored in the second inning after an error by Ian Desmond on a Tomas Telis hit. Derek Dietrich was able to score from third.

In the sixth inning Marcell Ozuna hit a solo homerun making the score 2-3.

Later in the sixth Nicolino gave up a sacrifice fly to to Wilson Ramos allowing Yunel Escobar to score. The next batter Tyler Moore hit a three run homerun to end Nicolino's outing.

Scott McGough faced four batters giving up three earned runs. Raudel Lazo replaced McGough to end tje sixth inning.

Marcell Ozuna scored the third Marlins run after an RBI double driving in Christian Yelich.

Jose Urena finished the game on the mound, giving up three earned runs over two innings.
