Miami Marlins morning news: Jarred Cosart cleared to throw

Cosart has reportedly been cleared to throw. Plus links on Jose Urena and J.T Realmuto.

Jarred Cosart has been sidelined with vertigo, however according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, Cosart has been cleared to throw and might return this month.

Jarred Cosart, dealing with a left inner ear disorder, has been cleared to throw on Friday, and the Marlins have not ruled out the possibility of the 25-year-old pitching in the big leagues before the end of August.

The Marlins' offense was solid but the club couldn't overcome a late one run deficit in a 9-8 loss to the Braves on Thursday night.

Jose Urena lifted with a bruised knee on Thursday. Urena only tossed a pair of innings after being hit by a come-backer.

J.T. Realmuto was not in the lineup for game one against the Braves as he has been out with a sore hand.

Chris Narveson tossed 3.2 scoreless innings against the Mets in his first major league game since 2013.

Marcell Ozuna might be recalled from Triple-A New Orleans in the coming days.

Dan Straily is available and the Marlins could become interested.
