Giancarlo Stanton had surgery on July 28 but he might be out for a bit longer. According to MLB,.com's Steve Wilaj, the recovery is taking longer than expected.

"I have to swing off the tee with no pain first, then we'll go from there," Stanton said. "I don't know when that will be. I'm just doing what I'm supposed to every day."

Marcell Ozuna continues to have success in Triple-A. But the Marlins want to make sure he is producing consistently before they recall him again.

Miami recalled Chris Reed and Adam Conley prior to Saturday's contest against the Padres. Both pitched well against San Diego.
