The Fish went into Wednesday afternoons game with a three game win streak and a chance to sweep the Brewers. Despite run support for Tom Koehler from the hot Marlins offense early, Miami couldn't hold onto an early 4-0 and ultimately fell 8-7.

Miami put runs on the board early in the first after Martin Prado drove in Dee Gordon on a ground out. Next, Justin Bour hit a two run bomb that drove in Derek Dietrich. In the next inning, Miguel Rojas hit an RBI single that allowed J.T. Realmuto to score.

The Brew Crew would eventually take the lead thanks to two homeruns from Khris Davis and a defensive miscue from Marcell Ozuna that allowed an extra run to score. Highlighting it all was Ryan Braun who hit a solo shot to become the Brewers all- time homerun leader.

Miami got to within a run in the ninth when Marcell Ozuna hit a solo homerun but it wasn't enough as the Marlins fell. The club opens a four game series with the Phillies on Thursday night at Marlins Park.
