The Marlins' rotation will most likely include three rookies now that David Phelps has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his throwing arm. Kendry Flores, Justin Nicolino and Adam Conley are the youngsters who will fill out the rotation.

The waiver trade deadline is fast approaching and there are a few players the Fish might consider moving before the 31st of August.

Ichiro had his first four-hit game as a Marlin last night as Miami hung on to win 9-6 in Milwaukee.

Giancarlo Stanton's rehab is stepping up a gear as he has now faced live pitching for the first time since he broke his hamate bone. A return before the end of 2015 is looking more likely.

Erik Cordier was called up in light of David Phelps' injury and pitched for the first time with Miami last night. Here is some background information on the pitcher.
