Jose Urena struggled early but got things under control later in the game. This was not enough for the Marlins against the Cubs Monday night in a 5-1 loss at home in Miami. Cubs starter Jason Hammel was fantastic giving up only one earned run in his fourth win of the season.

Jumping ahead to the fourth the Cubs added to their lead on Urena with an RBi single from Addison Russel that drove in Chris Coghlan.
Giancarlo Stanton was able to work his way around the bases in the fourth after a wild pitch took him to second, followed by him scoring after a bad pickoff throw from Miguel Montero in attempt to catch him stealing.
To start off the seventh inning Vin Mazzaro replaced Urena. Mazzaro gave up a double to Kris Bryant that drove in Dexter Fowler.
After one inning of work from Mazzaro, Bryan Morris was put in to finish the game. He gave up a solo shot to Starlin Castro.
