MLB Draft 2015: Miami Marlins Day 2 Recap

Miami added some pitching depth on the second day of the draft.

After adding a power bat by selecting Josh Naylor in the first round of the 2015 Draft on Monday night, the Marlins added a notable amount of starting pitching depth on Tuesday.

Day 2 Selections

OF Isaiah White

White was taken in the third round and is an outfielder out of Greenfield High School. He was a first team selection for the Atlantic Region and batted .547 in 21 games during his senior year. White also scored 39 runs, drove in 17, and stole 31 bases.

RHP Cody Poteet

Miami selected Poteet, out of UCLA, in the fourth round. He posted a 7-1 record and 2.45 ERA in 27 appearances and 13 starts during his junior campaign.

LHP Justin Jacome

The Marlins added another college arm by taking Jacome in the fifth round. The lefty out of the University of California Santa-Barbara posted a 7-5 record and 2.70 ERA in 16 starts in his junior season.
