Marlins News

Mat Latos tweaked his hamstring during Wednesday's contest against the Mets, however a stint on the disabled list will not be necessary. According to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, Latos will start on Tuesday when Miami faces Washington in D.C.

When Mat Latos limped off the field in the fifth inning on Wednesday night, the Marlins' rotation appeared to be headed for a setback.

But after throwing a successful bullpen session on Saturday, Latos was cleared to rejoin the rotation, and will make his scheduled start on Tuesday at Washington.

Jarred Cosart had success early on Sunday. But after a rough sixth inning, things got sloppy in a 6-2 loss to the Phillies.

Both Solano brothers were in the lineup on Sunday and both had success.

A.J. Ramos landed in an awkward position after throwing a pitch on Sunday, but he is OK and opted to remain in the game.

Martin Prado drove in four runs on Saturday afternoon and his bat is warming up.

Dee Gordon really likes to dunk. And he is thriving at the top of the Marlins' order, too.

The Marlins still want to trade Jarrod Saltalamacchia. The end of the 10 day period is inching closer.

What effect did losing Christian Yelich have on the rest of the lineup?

Do not look now, but the Marlins are HOT and no longer at the bottom of the NL East standings.

Around the League

Brewers infielder Jean Segura got hit in the head but still feels OK.

Matt Moore will face live batters for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery.

The Rays placed Desmond Jennings on the disabled list with a knee injury.

Anthony RendonAnother setback.
