Martin Prado's three-run home run against Cole Hamels gave the Marlins a lead that would not be lost, and Dan Haren pitched well in the Marlins' 7-0 victory over the Phillies at Marlins Park on Saturday afternoon.
Ichiro Suzuki and Adeiny Hechavarria opened the bottom of the second with consecutive singles, and after a Haren sacrifice bunt, Prado's three-run homer to left field gave the Marlins a three run edge.
J.T. Realmuto's RBI double added to the club's lead, and a Giancarlo Stanton sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth made it a 5-0 contest. Prado's sixth inning RBI double pushed the Marlins' lead to six, and Realmuto's seventh inning RBI single made it a 7-0 game.
Haren pitched well over six innings, allowing four hits while striking out four and not issuing a walk. Nick Masset posted two scoreless innings of relief before Sam Dyson struck out the side in the ninth and secured a series victory for the Marlins.
