Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers: Game 33 Thread and Ichthyomancy

The Miami Marlins continue their west coast swing with a set against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Marlins face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first of a three-game series in Los Angeles as the Fish look to truck along on their west coast swing. Miami faces one of the best guns in the LA holster in Zack Greinke, while the Fish toss Tom Koehler the Dodgers' way.

Pitching Matchup
PROJ ERA FIP ERA MARLINS Dodgers ERA FIP PROJ ERA
4.51 5.22 5.18 Koehler Greinke 1.56 2.86 3.10

Koehler has not been very good at baseball thus far this season. Specifically, he has allowed a whopping seven home runs in just 33 innings of work after giving up only 16 last season in nearly 200 innings.

Zack Greinke has been very good at baseball this year, to the surprise of absolutely no one.

Today's Lineups

MIAMI MARLINS LOS ANGELES DODGERS
Dee Gordon - 2B Joc Pederson - CF
Martin Prado - 3B Jimmy Rollins - SS
Giancarlo Stanton - RF Howie Kendrick - 2B
Marcell Ozuna - CF Adrian Gonzalez - 1B
Christian Yelich - LF Justin Turner - 3B
Mike Morse - 1B Yasmani Grandal - C
J.T. Realmuto - C Andre Ethier - RF
Adeiny Hechavarria - SS Scott Van Slyke - LF
Tom Koehler - RHP Zack Greinke - RHP

The Fish send out what may be their best lineup right now, with the red hot Dee Gordon leading the way and returning to LA for the first time since this past offseason's trade. Christian Yelich is placed fifth in the lineup, which actually is not a terrible idea, as he can move himself as a baserunner by stealing and helping the lesser hitters at the bottom of the order get him home.

Notes

- The Marlins had a disappointing final game against the San Francisco Giants. Can they rally from that walk-off defeat? Should they turn to Steve Cishek again?

- Can Dee Gordon keep up his ridiculous tear against his former team?

Bold Prediction: Dodgers def. Marlins 5-1
