MLB Scores: Miami Marlins 6, San Francisco Giants 2

Miami defeats the Giants 6-2 in the third game of a four game series.

Those on the East coast who stayed up to watch the Fish Saturday night got to see the Marlins defeat the reigning champs 6-2. Miami jumped ahead first and didn't give up their lead for the rest of the game.

In top of the fourth inning Marcell Ozuna faced Bumgarner and hit his second homerun of the series putting Miami up 1-0. Later in the inning Jeff Baker hit and RBI double that drove in J.T. Realmuto. To finish off this spectacular offensive inning, Adeiny Hechavarria drove in Jeff Baker with an RBI double. These were Bumgarner's three earned runs of the night.

San Francisco was able to get on the board with an RBI single from Brandon Crawford in the fifth inning.

Jeff Baker left the game with tight oblique, and in the eighth his replacement Donovan Solano doubled driving in Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna. Later in the inning Adeiny Hechavarria hit an RBI single that scored Donovan Solano.

In an attempt to mount a comeback in the bottom of the ninth Joe Panik hit an RBI double that allowed Matt Duffy to score.

For the Marlins, David Phelps earned the win by pitching six innings giving up one earned run on six hits. A.J. Ramos got the hold in the 6-2 win. For the Giants, Bumgarner took the loss giving up three earned runs on five hits in his five innings pitched.
