MLB Scores: Miami Marlins 3,Phillies 7

Marlins lose the first out of a three game series with the Phillies.

Miami had their fifth straight loss of the the season Tuesday night in Philadelphia. The Marlins had a 3-2 lead through five innings, but Dan Haren was unable to hold back the Phillies from coming back to win the game 7-3.

Dan Haren pitched for six innings giving up four earned runs, four hits, two homeruns, with seven strikeouts.A two run homerun from Freddy Galvis in the second inning opened up the scoring for Philly. Miami got on the board with a 453 ft solo bomb from Giancarlo Stanton off the Phillies starter Jerome Williams in the fourth.

In the next inning Miami tied the game up with a Adeiny Hechavarria RBI single that scored Ichiro from second. Later in the inning, the Fish jumped ahead 3-2 with an error from Ryan Howard on a grounder from Dee Gordon that allowed Hechavarria to score.

The Fish were able to hold onto their lead until the sixth inning when Dan Haren conceded a two run homerun to Ryan Howard. Philadelphia added onto their lead against Miami relief pitcher Mike Dunn with a Ben Revere triple that drove in two more runs. Chase Utley then hit a sacrifice fly that allowed Revere to score.

After Dunn was pulled from the game in the eighth, Nick Masset who was called up from AAA New Orleans earlier in the day made his first appearance of the season in the majors. Masset pitched one inning with one strike out.
