Add the Diamondbacks to the list of clubs interested in Jose Fernandez. The Marlins and Diamondbacks have discussed a deal but the chances of a deal are "slim," according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
Sources: #DBacks talked Jose with #Marlins. Chance of deal described as "slim." MIA wanted Corbin+. AZ more likely to trade for lesser SP.

Since the Marlins are not thought to be shopping Fernandez, the asking price still appears to be notably high.
Patrick Corbin, a 26-year old lefty who pitched to a 3.60 ERA with the Diamondbacks last season, would likely have to be involved in any deal between the Marlins and Diamondbacks. The Marlins have made it clear they are seeking starting pitching and appear to be seeking several prospects in a deal for Fernandez.
If the Marlins end up dealing Fernandez this week, the return will almost certainly be significant given the high asking price.
