The Miami Marlins will look to win their third consecutive contest on Tuesday night with a victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. Tom Koehler will oppose Matt Garza on the mound in game two of the four game set.
Pitching Matchup
PROJ ERA | FIP | ERA | MARLINS | Brewers | ERA | FIP | PROJ ERA |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
4.29 | 3.89 | 3.74 | Koehler | Garza | 3.87 | 3.57 | 3.74 |
Tom Koehler is coming off of a nice start against the Mets, during which he pitched seven innings while allowing two runs and striking out ten. Koehler allowed seven runs in five innings in a May start against the Brewers.
Garza is coming off of a three inning outing during which he allowed six runs against the Cubs
Lineups
Miami will go with its usual right-handed pitcher lineup in game two of the series. Offense wasn't a problem for the Marlins in game one, and Miami will look for Giancarlo Stanton's hot bat to carry them.
Notes
-Can Koehler pitch well? The Marlins received a quality start from Brad Penny on Monday, but the bullpen's efficiency over the last few weeks of the season will be essential. Miami's starters must continue to go deep.
