Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals: Game 153 Thread and Ichthyomancy

One night after the Miami Marlins were drubbed by the Washington Nationals, the Fish try again tonight at Marlins Park. The Fish will try Tom Koehler on the mound against Doug Fister.

The Miami Marlins got beat down last night, but they're looking for revenge against the NL East champion Washington Nationals. The Nats are looking to take the second of this four-game series and will have Doug Fister on the mound, while Miami counters with the eminently decent Tom Koehler.

4.26 3.86 3.71 Koehler Fister 2.55 4.00 3.56

Doug Fister is pitching in a strange fashion this season after starting the year on the DL with an arm injury. So far, it has worked to the tune of a 2.55 ERA, but his 4.00 FIP shows that he hasn't been as good as his old self, at least by pitching-independent measures. Meanwhile, Tom Koehler simply is Tom Koehler, a decent back-end starter, nothing more or less. And that, by no means, is bad.
