The Jacksonville Suns are one win away from winning the Southern League Championship.

Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Suns find themselves one win away from winning the Southern League Championship. After winning the first two on the road they return home tonight to try and seal the deal. They send ace Justin Nicolino to the mound, so you have to like their chances. The game should be available on MILB.TV so if you have the the time I suggest you check out the future of the Miami Marlins as they attempt to bring home a championship. Now, lets take a look at how they won the first two games of the series.

Game 1: Jacksonville Suns W 5-3  @ Chattanooga Lookouts

Austin Nola, SS: 1-3, 2 R, 2 BB

Austin Barnes, 2B: 0-3, 2 BB

Viosergy Rosa, 1B: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI,

The Jacksonville Suns took game one of the Southern League Championship series against the Chattanooga Lookouts on Wednesday. Starter Jose Urena went five and a third innings allowing three runs while striking out seven batters. The Jacksonville bats would start early scoring two in the first inning on a Brady Shoemaker sacrifice fly, and a Joe Benson RBI single. The bats would stay hot the next inning scoring three runs on a J.T. Realmuto RBI single, a wild pitch, and a Viosergy Rosa RBI double. Five runs would be enough as the Suns' bullpen would provide three and two third innings of scoreless relief.

Game 2: Jacksonville Suns W 12-3 @ Chattanooga Lookouts

Austin Barnes, 2B: 3-7, 2 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI

James Nygren, RP: 2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 SO, 0 BB

The Suns bats were on fire Thursday night as they erupted for 12 runs on 16 hits. A five run 6th inning and four run 9th inning did most of the damage. Every starting position player recorded a hit, five had multi-hit games, and three had three hit games. Jon Link provided five innings on the mound allowing only two runs while striking out six Chattanooga hitters. The Suns will attempt to end the series with a win tonight.
