Brad Penny had his contract selected in a move that sent Edgar Olmos back to Triple-A on Saturday. Penny was signed to a minor league contract in June, and has posted a 2.28 ERA and 2.87 FIP with New Orleans.
Alfredo Simon gets the start for the Reds, coming off of a five inning outing against Indians. Simon allowed five runs and walked three while striking out one.
